Piece of Indy Racing History Finds Phoenix Home

On Sunday, September 28, 12News – NBC’s Phoenix affiliate – did a feature story on Lyn orchestrating a reunion with the car that carried her to the 1992 Indianapolis 500.

It was in the ’92 500 – the first of seven that Lyn would compete in – that she famously became the first woman to earn the ‘Rookie of the Year’ honors.

In the 12News video segment, Lyn takes viewers on her journey of salvaging the one-of-a-kind chassis after a devastating wreck by its then owner.
